There is nothing at all average about this beautiful pair of earrings! This piece of Native American jewelry is Zuni hand crafted, by artist Judy Lincoln, out of authentic sterling silver and man made Fire Opal stones. A total of TWO stones (ONE in each earring) are carefully laid in hand cut bezels, while a silver tear drop shape compliments the stones for a wonderful finish. 

Most people know Opal for its distinctive play of color, it is a semi-transparent solidified mineral composed of silicon and water, and it gets its name from the Latin word "Oplus" meaning precious stone. Opal is birthstone of October. It is believed to release self-consciousness allowing spontaneous action, and awakens psychic and mystical qualities.
