This is a wonderful piece of Navajo artistry! This piece of Native American jewelry is Navajo hand crafted by artist Jeff James, out of genuine sterling silver and a real Turquoise stone. The stone is carefully placed in a hand cut bezel setting and can be seen dangling in the center of a hand crafted silver naja design. Stamped patterns and native american scenery cut through designs can be seen completing the pendant to a perfect finish. The pendant is stamped sterling and hallmarked.
Turquoise is the birthstone of December. It is believed that turquoise tends to bring good fortune, strength and helps overcome illness. Turquoise got its name from the Levantine traders called Turks who brought the stone to Europe from Persia via Turkey centuries ago. Native Americans have prized turquoise since the time of the Aztecs, who mined it in New Mexico. The natural variations that occur in turquoise are part of its appeal and beauty.
