This gorgeous pair of earrings is absolutely distinctive in each and every way! This piece of Native American jewelry is Navajo hand crafted by artist Sharon McCarthy, out of genuine sterling silver and man made Opals. The earrings have a total of TWO stones (ONE in each earring) that are delicately placed in hand cut bezel settings, while twisted silver and mini silver beads can be seen highlighting for a fabulous finish. Earrings are stamped sterling.
Most people know Opal for its distinctive play of color, it is a semi-transparent solidified mineral composed of silicon and water, and it gets its name from the Latin word "Oplus" meaning precious stone. Opal is the birthstone for October. It is believed to release self-consciousness allowing spontaneous action, and awakens psychic and mystical qualities.
