DESCRIPTION:

This amazing necklace and earring set depicts the beauty and elegance of the great Southwest! This jewelry set is hand crafted out of genuine sterling silver and real multicolor needlepoint stones. The necklace is composed of one Naja (the crescent-shaped large center piece) and double strands of 7-mm silver round beads placed at regular intervals among the round side of the center. The Naja is set with EIGHTY FIVE Multicolor stones, while each side of the necklace has a total of EIGHTY FIVE Multicolor stones that are attached to three silver petals which are called squash blossoms. Each stone is carefully placed in a hand cut bezel setting, while twisted silver and mini silver beads can be seen accententing for a stunning look. Entire traditional necklace is flexible "not stiff". The earrings have a total of THIRTY FOUR Multicolor stones (SEVENTEEN in each earring) that are carefully set in hand cut bezel and match the necklace for a gorgeous finish. The set is stamped sterling and hallmarked.

Turquoise is the birthstone of December. It is believed that turquoise tends to bring good fortune, strength and helps overcome illness. Turquoise got its name from the Levantine traders called Turks who brought the stone to Europe from Persia via Turkey centuries ago. Native Americans have prized turquoise since the time of the Aztecs, who mined it in New Mexico. The natural variations that occur in turquoise are part of their appeal and beauty.
