This is a very gorgeous pendant that would make a great gift! This piece of Native American jewelry is Navajo hand crafted by artist Victor Begay, out of genuine sterling silver and a real Howlite stone. The stone is gently placed in hand cut bezel setting, while being accented by twisted sterling silver and hand cut designs for a perfect finish! The pendant is stamped Navajo, .925 (sterling silver), and is hallmarked by the artist.
Howlite is named after its discoverer Henry How. Howlite is known for its great final polish and rich luster. Howlite is often mistaken for "white buffalo" or "white turquoise" due to the similarity of appearance. Howlite is a combination of pure white with black veins; highlighting the beauty and balance of opposites. Howlite has high calcium content for strong healthy bones and teeth. It would make a wonderful gift for a pregnant or nursing mother.
