MATERIALS:

Sterling silver, real Turquoise and Oyster Shell.

MEASUREMENTS:

Pendant measures approximately 3" long (including bail) and 2" at widest point. Necklace measures approximately 20-1/8" long.

The set weighs 2.45 oz (69 gms).

DESCRIPTION: 

You will absolutely fall in love with this stunning necklace set! In this jewelry set, the pendant is hand crafted by Navajo artist Victor Begay out of genuine sterling silver and real Turquoise & Oyster Shell stones.

The pendant consists of FOURTEEN Oyster Shell stones & ONE large Turquoise stone. The turquoise stone is surrounded by twisted sterling silver wire and the whole pendant is surrounded by small sterling silver beads giving it an exquisite look. It's stamped sterling and hallmarked by the artist.

The necklace is hand strung out of genuine sterling silver and real multicolor beads. It consists of: 2-mm silver round beads, & 9-mm Turquoise freeform beads. Each end of the necklace is completed with a silver bead and cone for an outstanding finish. The cones are stamped sterling.

Turquoise is the birthstone of December. It is believed that turquoise tends to bring good fortune, strength and helps overcome illness. Turquoise got its name from the Levantine traders called Turks who brought the stone to Europe from Persia via Turkey centuries ago. Native Americans have prized turquoise since the time of the Aztecs, who mined it in New Mexico. The natural variations that occur in turquoise are part of their appeal and beauty.

Bracelet Measurements

SilverTribe uses the inner circumference and the opening of a cuff bracelet to get the final measurement. If the bracelet has an opening, you'll just add that length to the inner circumference (displayed in the bracelet image chart) to find the perfect fit for you.

It's important to remember that some bracelets, like cuff bracelets, are not adjustable. Trying to bend these bracelets so they fit could result in damaging the bracelet or losing stones.

Instead, you can use these charts to help you use our system and find the jewelry measurements that will be a perfect fit. For example, if the inner bracelet circumference measures approximately 5-1/4", you would add that to the 1-1/8" opening.

The simple additions (5-1/4 + 1-1/8) give you a 6-3/8 wrist size.

As a helpful hint, you can take a piece of string and wrap it around your wrist, then measure the length of the string with a ruler or a fabric ruler to find your measurement. Many jewelers say a quarter inch above or below will most likely still fit, it all just depends in your preference for tight or loose fitting jewelry.


Link Bracelet Measurements

We measure the length of the link bracelets a bit differently depending on what type of clasp it has. In the item listing, it will describe the number of links in the bracelet and how long each link is.
  • For Lobster clasp bracelets, we measure the length of the bracelet and subtract 1/8" from the full length.
  • Toggle bar and clasp bracelets, we measure the length of the bracelet and subtract 1/8" from the full length.
  • For Box clasp bracelets, we measure from the start of one box clasp to the right before the second clasp starts.

Necklace Jewelry Measurements

It can be difficult shopping for necklaces when you don't understand how the different sizes will look on you. We think it's easier to visualize how various necklace lengths will rest on your neck and chest. Keep in mind that these sizes are the average sizes, and can vary depending on your body type.
  • 16 inches: Choker length
  • 17-19 inches: At the collarbone
  • 20 inches: A few inches below the collarbone
  • 22 inches: At or above the neckline
  • 24 inches: Below the neckline

Ring Jewelry Measurements

We also offer most ring styles in various sizes. However, it's important to note that our store does not resize rings. If you choose to alter the rings from an outside jeweler, the item in question will not be returnable for cash, exchange, or credit either. Usually the sizing of rings are done before the stones are set, as they must quickly be heated and reshaped (which would damage any gemstones already set in the piece).
