Expect plenty of compliments while wearing this stunning bead necklace! This piece of Native American jewelry, crafted by Navajo artist Victor Begay, is hand strung out of genuine sterling silver and Oyster Shell beads. The necklace consists of 3-mm sterling silver beads and 10-mm Oyster Shell rondelle beads. Each end of the necklace is completed with a silver cone and bead for a perfect finish. The cones are stamped sterling.
The pendant is made of FOURTEEN Oyster Shell beads surrounding a large Oyster shell center stone. The twisted silver wire can be seen surrounding the center stone along with mini sterling silver beads. The pendant is stamped sterling and hallmarked by the artist.
Oyster shells are said to represent protection, abundance, and fertility. In many spiritual traditions, they symbolize the power of creation. The spiral pattern is often associated with growth, renewal, and cycles of life. Some believe these pieces to have a pure calming power, while others believe that they bring a sense of awareness and understanding.
