DESCRIPTION:

This lovely pendant is a work of art and has everything you could possibly want from a piece of Native American jewelry! This piece of Native American jewelry is Navajo overlay hand crafted by artist Tommy (Thomas) and Rose Singer, out of genuine sterling silver, 12 Karat Gold Filled, and a real Tiger Eye stone. Overlay is a process that utilizes at least two layers of sterling silver or gold. One layer forms the foundation, while the second is used to design the individual detailed overlay. The stone is delicately set in a hand cut bezel setting placed in the center of a beautiful Bear design, while the second layer forms stunning 12 KGF border patters and stamped designs for a magnificent finish. In Native American beliefs, the bear symbolizes physical strength, leadership, and is known as the "first helper". Arrows usually signify direction of travel, force, and movement. The pendant is stamped sterling and hallmarked by the artist.

Tiger Eye stone contains a golden yellow reflection on a brown ground color. The most important source of tiger eye is South Africa, but it is also found in Australia, India, and California. It is believed to give courage, clear thinking, and protects from negativity.

12KGF is as good as gold. The color will never fade, change, or wear off. It is 12K gold on top of brass and other metals, which create a gold tone with a finish all the way through. 12KGF behaves the same way as gold.

World famous artist Tommy (Thomas) Singer is one of the best Native American Indian silversmiths around. His name and his work are easily recognized and associated with Navajo Jewelry. Tommy Singer has been mentioned in many books, magazines, and news articles throughout his life. He was born in 1938 in Winslow, Arizona. Tommy belongs to the Tall House Clan of the Navajo Tribe. Tommy was taught by his father and started working with jewelry in the early 1960's.
