The inlay consists of: real Tiger Eye, Picture Rock, Jet, and man made Blue Opal. The inlay is carefully set, while placed at the center of a lovely turtle design. Thin silver lines can be seen in between the inlay for a lovely look. In some beliefs, the turtle represents strength, female power and fertility. The turtle is also considered to be able to defy death. The pendant is stamped sterling and hallmarked.
Tiger Eye stone contains a golden yellow reflection on a brown ground color. The most important source of tiger eye is South Africa, but it is also found in Australia, India, and California. It is believed to give courage, clear thinking, and protects from negativity.
Most people know Opal for its distinctive play of color, it is a semi-transparent solidified mineral composed of silicon and water, and it gets its name from the Latin word "Oplus" meaning precious stone.
