DESCRIPTION: This is a very exquisite necklace that must not be overlooked! This piece of Native American jewelry is Navajo hand crafted by artist B. Benally, out of genuine sterling silver and real Pietersite stones. The necklace has a total of THREE stones; each link has ONE stone that is delicately set in a silver bezel settings while twisted silver and stamped patterns can be seen accenting the necklace for a gorgeous finish. The necklace is stamped sterling and hallmarked. Pietersite is a variety of tiger-eye and has an incredible iridescent quality. It is different than the well-known Tiger-eye since its fibers appear muddled and not closely crammed. The pietersite formation is related to volcanic hydrothermal activities. In most rough stones, petrifaction is very complete and there are no free fibers. The mineral can be used to stimulate the pituitary gland to provide the proper regulation of the other endocrine glands, and to produce in the proper quantity, the hormones concerned with growth, sex, metabolism, blood pressure, and body temperature. Its a great aid in healing the eyes. Limited production in Namibia and the embargo on export of tigers-eye rough by South Africa have caused the price of Pietersite to rise dramatically.
