This magnificent and traditional necklace represents the finest of Navajo craftsmanship! This necklace is hand strung out of genuine sterling silver and real Coral beads. The necklace consists of THREE strands: 2-mm silver round beads and 5-mm Coral barrell beads. The lovely pendant is crafted by artist Marlene Haley out of genuine Sterling silver and real Corals. A total of THIRTY FOUR stones are gently placed in hand cut bezel settings, while being accented by mini silver beads and hand cut designs for a marvelous finish. The pendant is stamped sterling and hallmarked. The necklace is accented with a silver lobster clasp for an amazing finish. The clasp is stamped .925 (sterling).
Corals are known to be very soothing and very protective. Coral is of an organic origin; it is the skeletal remains of marine animals called Coral Polyps. Colonies of these tiny creatures build branching structures as they grow, gradually forming reefs and atolls.
Sterling Silver is a metal, which consists of 92.5 percent silver and 7.5 percent copper. Although any metal can make up the 7.5% of non-silver component, years of study have shown that copper is most compatible, while aiding the solidity and durability of the metal without harming its beautiful color. The small amount of 7.5% copper added to all silver has almost no effect on the metals overall value. Due to the durability of sterling silver it is not only used for jewelry, but household accessories as well. Silver is known to last a lifetime with the proper care.
