DESCRIPTION:

Expect plenty of compliments while wearing this stunning pin! This piece of Native American jewelry is Navajo hand crafted by artist Joe Martinez, out of genuine sterling silver and real multicolor inlay. The inlay consist of: Turquoise, Malachite, Jet, and Red Oyster Shell. (Stone variation will be chosen at random.) The inlay is carefully set, while hand crafted silver can be seen creating a stunning Road Runner design. In Native American history, the roadrunners are believed to lead away the evil spirits. They are a symbol of courage, strength, and endurance. The feathers of the roadrunners are tied to horses' tails to lead the evil spirits away. Stamped patterns can be seen accenting the pin for a beautiful finish. The pin is stamped sterling and is hallmarked.

Malachite is famous for its radial banding and deep green color. Popular today for use in Southwestern style jewelry, malachite was also popular in the past with the ancient Egyptians, Greeks, and Romans. It was worn as a good luck charm to keep away danger and illness. It is believed to balance and stabilize ones emotions.

Turquoise is the birthstone of December. It is believed that turquoise tends to bring good fortune, strength and helps overcome illness. Turquoise got its name from the Levantine traders called Turks who brought the stone to Europe from Persia via Turkey centuries ago. Native Americans have prized turquoise since the time of the Aztecs, who mined it in New Mexico. The natural variations that occur in turquoise are part of their appeal and beauty.

    Beautiful
Posted by Linda J. | Reviewing SilverTribe.com | Posted on
I was so impressed with the pieces from my first SilverTribe order, I ordered a ring and 2 pair of earrings. Beautiful and very well made! Everything is as it appeared in the pictures though the ring is longer than I expected. The size is perfect though and it looks amazing on. I now have 3 pair of earrings from SilverTribe. Again, they are stunning, great quality and reasonably priced. The only negative is with the earwires. They're silver but do not compliment the dangles. I make simple beaded silver jewelry by weaving and wrapping. I dont know how to silversmith, yet (some day). I make my own wires from 20 gauge silver wire. It doesn't take that much longer but adds so much.

When I looked at the order historyfor my account I realized there was a pattern. My wife’s birthday and our wedding anniversary. For the last four years I have purchased from Silver Tribe. I have trusted two of the most important events in a year to Silver Tribe. Why? Because it’s always fast shipping. Great products at reasonable prices. What I believe may one day be heirloom pieces. It’s simple Silver Tribe is Always the best!
