MATERIALS:

Sterling silver along with man made Blue Opal.

MEASUREMENTS:

Post hoop earrings measure approximately 3/4" long and 1/8" wide.

DESCRIPTION:

This magnificent and traditional pair of earrings represents the finest of Zuni craftsmanship! This piece of Native American jewelry is Zuni hand crafted by artist Kent Lonjose, out of genuine sterling silver and man made Blue Opal inlay. The inlay is delicately set, while thin silver lines highlight the earrings for a magnificent finish.

Most people know Opal for its distinctive play of color, it is a semi-transparent solidified mineral composed of silicon and water, and it gets its name from the Latin word "Oplus" meaning precious stone. Opal is birthstone of October. It is believed to release self-consciousness allowing spontaneous action, and awakens psychic and mystical qualities.

    Love turquoise jewelry!

Having once lived in Arizona, I learned to appreciate fine Southwest artisan craftsmanship and I had been unable to enjoy it since moving to the Southeast. SilverTribe renewed my love of the art and the jewelry. Wonderful jewelry at wonderful prices.
