The stone is gently placed in a silver prong setting, while being accented with Opal inlay. The inlay is carefully set, while silver lines can be seen accenting in between for an exquisite finish. The ring is stamped sterling and hallmarked.
Most people know Opal for it's distinctive play of color, it is semi-transparent solidified mineral composed of silicon and water, and it gets its name from the Latin word "Oplus" meaning precious stone.
