DESCRIPTION:
There is nothing at all average about this beautiful necklace! This piece of Native American jewelry is Navajo hand strung out of genuine sterling silver, along with real Pietersite, and Picture Rock beads. The necklace consists of: 2-mm silver round beads, 6-mm Picture Rock rondelle beads, and 6-mm Pietersite round beads. Each end of the necklace is completed with a silver cone and bead for a dazzling finish. The cones are stamped sterling.
Pietersite is a variety of tiger-eye and has an incredible iridescent quality. It is different than the well-known Tiger-eye since its fibers appear muddled and not closely crammed. The pietersite formation is related to volcanic hydrothermal activities. In most rough stones, petrifaction is very complete and there are no free fibers. The mineral can be used to stimulate the pituitary gland to provide the proper regulation of the other endocrine glands, and to produce in the proper quantity, the hormones concerned with growth, sex, metabolism, blood pressure, and body temperature. Its a great aid in healing the eyes. Limited production in Namibia and the embargo on export of tigers-eye rough by South Africa have caused the price of Pietersite to rise dramatically.
