DESCRIPTION:

This fabulous cuff bracelet is a true treasure! The bracelet is a gorgeous piece of jewelry that is hand crafted out of genuine sterling silver and multicolor inlay. The inlay consist of: real Turquoise, Oyster Shell, Magenta Turquoise, and man made Opal. The inlay is carefully set, while forming a stunning Buffalo design for a glamorous look. Two silver bars create the cuff and complete the bracelet beautifully. In some beliefs, the buffalo is one of the most important animals to the people of the Plains and it is a great symbol to most Native Americans. The Plains Indians had developed life around the buffalo using it in many different ways. It was used for food, tools, shelter, warmth, and weaponry. To some, the Buffalo represents Strength, Stability, and Prosperity. The bracelet is stamped sterling.

Turquoise is the birthstone of December. It is believed that turquoise tends to bring good fortune, strength and helps overcome illness. Turquoise got its name from the Levantine traders called Turks who brought the stone to Europe from Persia via Turkey centuries ago. Native Americans have prized turquoise since the time of the Aztecs, who mined it in New Mexico. The natural variations that occur in turquoise are part of their appeal and beauty.

Most people know Opal for its distinctive play of color, it is semi-transparent solidified mineral composed of silicon and water, and it gets its name from the Latin word "Oplus" meaning precious stone. Opal is the birthstone for October. It is believed to release self-consciousness allowing spontaneous action, and awakens psychic and mystical qualities.

Over the years I've purchased several pieces from Silvertribe. This last time I couldn't find what I wanted, but after sending an email, they found the perfect gecko turquoise pendant! Order received, and as in previous orders their products were perfect.
