DESCRIPTION:
This lovely necklace set will definitely attract plenty of attention! In this Native American jewelry set, the pendant is Navajo hand crafted by artist Sarah Yazzie, out of genuine sterling silver and real Turquoise stones. A total of EIGHT stones are gently set in hand cut bezel settings, while hand crafted silver work creates a fascinating naja design. Twisted silver, silver beads, stamped patterns, and hand crafted silver flowers accent the pendant for a phenomenal finish. The pendant is stamped .925 (sterling) and hallmarked. The necklace is hand strung out of genuine sterling silver and real Turquoise beads. The necklace consists of: 7-mm silver round beads, and 8-mm Turquoise rondelle beads. Each end of the necklace is completed with a silver cone and bead for an excellent finish. The cones are stamped sterling.
Turquoise is the birthstone of December. It is believed that turquoise tends to bring good fortune, strength and helps overcome illness. Turquoise got its name from the Levantine traders called Turks who brought the stone to Europe from Persia via Turkey centuries ago. Native Americans have prized turquoise since the time of the Aztecs, who mined it in New Mexico. The natural variations that occur in turquoise are part of its appeal and beauty.
