Overlay is a process that utilizes at least two layers of sterling silver or gold. One layer forms the foundation, while the second is used to design the individual detailed overlay. In this ring the second layer forms an incredible water wave pattern for a spectacular finish. In Native American beliefs, the water waves design represents continuous life.
