MATERIALS: Sterling silver and real Turquoise. MEASUREMENTS: Necklace measures approximately 18" long. Pendant measures approximately 2" long and 2" wide. DESCRIPTION:
This lovely necklace is a work of art and has everything you could possibly want from a piece of Native American jewelry! In this Native American jewelry set, the pendant is Navajo hand crafted by artist Raymond Delgarito out of genuine sterling silver and real Turquoise stone. The stone is carefully placed in a hand cut bezel setting, while twisted silver, stamped silver beads, and silver feather designs highlight for an incredible look. The pendant is stamped .925(sterling) and hallmarked. The necklace is hand strung out of old pawn style silver beads and real Turquoise beads. The necklace consists of: 6-mm silver round beads, 6-mm silver barrell beads, and 7-mm Turquoise wheel beads. Each end of the necklace is completed with a silver cone for a remarkabe finish. Feathers are symbols of prayers, marks of honor or sources of ideas. They represent the Creative Force. The cones are stamped sterling.
Turquoise is the birthstone of December. It is believed that turquoise tends to bring good fortune, strength and helps overcome illness. Turquoise got its name from the Levantine traders called Turks who brought the stone to Europe from Persia via Turkey centuries ago. Native Americans have prized turquoise since the time of the Aztecs, who mined it in New Mexico. The natural variations that occur in turquoise are part of its appeal and beauty.
