DESCRIPTION:

This gorgeous pendant is absolutely distinctive in each and every way! This piece of Native American jewelry is Navajo hand crafted by artist Davey Morgan, out of genuine sterling silver and a real Turquoise stone. The stone is carefully set in a hand cut bezel, while hand cut silver work creates a gorgeous buffalo and arrow design. Mini silver beads and a feather dangle piece accent the pendant for a dazzling finish. The Buffalo is one of the most important animals to the people of the Plains and it is a great symbol to most Native Americans. The Plains Indians had developed life around the buffalo using it in many different ways. It was used for food, tools, shelter, warmth, and weaponry. To some, the Buffalo represents strength, stability, and prosperity. Feathers are symbols of prayers, marks of honor or sources of ideas. They represent the Creative Force. The pendant is stamped .925 (sterling) and hallmarked.

Turquoise is the birthstone of December. It is believed that turquoise tends to bring good fortune, strength and helps overcome illness. Turquoise got its name from the Levantine traders called Turks who brought the stone to Europe from Persia via Turkey centuries ago. Native Americans have prized turquoise since the time of the Aztecs, who mined it in New Mexico. The natural variations that occur in turquoise are part of its appeal and beauty.

    PERFECT color, shape, design

LOVE LOVE LOVE the robin's egg blue turquoise and the 'water wave' design opposite it. The ring is simple yet striking and is the perfect length for my finger -- not quite to my knuckle. In a Zoom and it struck the attention of my colleagues! Highly recommended.
