Sterling silver, real Turquoise, Coral, Onyx, and Picture Rock.
Necklace measures approximately 28-1/8" long. The necklace weighs 90 grams.
This is truly an outstanding necklace that will make a great impression! This piece of Southwest jewelry is hand strung out of genuine sterling silver, along with real multicolor beads. The necklace is made up of TWO strands that consist of: 2-mm, 3-mm, and 4-mm silver round beads, 8-mm Onyx and Picture Rock round beads, 8-mm Turquoise barrel beads, and 9-mm Coral branch beads. The two strands in this necklace elegantly graduate, while being held together by TWO 27-mm Picture Rock divider beads so that the necklace will lay perfectly around your neck. Each end of the necklace is accented with a silver bead and cone for a marvelous finish. The cones are stamped sterling.
Corals are known to be very soothing and very protective. Coral is of an organic origin; it is the skeletal remains of marine animals called Coral Polyps. Colonies of these tiny creatures build branching structures as they grow, gradually forming reefs and atolls.
Turquoise is the birthstone of December. It is believed that turquoise tends to bring good fortune, strength and helps overcome illness. Turquoise got its name from the Levantine traders called Turks who brought the stone to Europe from Persia via Turkey centuries ago. Native Americans have prized turquoise since the time of the Aztecs, who mined it in New Mexico. The natural variations that occur in turquoise are part of their appeal and beauty.
