DESCRIPTION:

This necklace and pendant set is a true treasure! The pendant is hand crafted out of genuine sterling silver and multicolor inlay. Real Turquoise, Red Oyster Shell, Yellow Mother Of Pearl, Magenta Turquoise, Black Jade and White inlay are carefully placed in a lovely buffalo design, while twisted silver can be seen accenting for a stunning finish. The pendant is stamped sterling and hallmarked. The Buffalo is one of the most important animals to the people of the Plains and it is a great symbol to most Native Americans. The Plains Indians had developed life around the buffalo using it in many different ways. It was used for food, tools, shelter, warmth, and weaponry. To some, the Buffalo represents strength, stability, and prosperity. The necklace is hand strung out of genuine sterling silver and multicolor beads. The necklace consists of: real Turquoise beads that have an average measurement of 8-mm, 10-mm Apple Coral round beads, 8-mm Howlite round beads, 8-mm Purple Agate rondelle beads, and 7-mm silver round beads. Each end of the necklace is completed with a silver cone and bead for a gorgeous look. The cones are stamped sterling.

Corals are known to be very soothing and very protective. Coral is of an organic origin; it is the skeletal remains of marine animals called Coral Polyps. Colonies of these tiny creatures build branching structures as they grow, gradually forming reefs and atolls.

Turquoise is the birthstone of December. It is believed that turquoise tends to bring good fortune, strength and helps overcome illness. Turquoise got its name from the Levantine traders called Turks who brought the stone to Europe from Persia via Turkey centuries ago. Native Americans have prized turquoise since the time of the Aztecs, who mined it in New Mexico. The natural variations that occur in turquoise are part of their appeal and beauty.

    Love turquoise jewelry!

Having once lived in Arizona, I learned to appreciate fine Southwest artisan craftsmanship and I had been unable to enjoy it since moving to the Southeast. SilverTribe renewed my love of the art and the jewelry. Wonderful jewelry at wonderful prices.
