DESCRIPTION:

This is a wonderful piece of Southwest artistry! The necklace is hand strung out of genuine sterling silver and real Malachite beads. The necklace consists of a stunning combination of Liquid silver, 6-mm and 8-mm Malachite rondelle beads, along with 2-mm and 3-mm silver round beads for a lovely finish.

Malachite is famous for its radial banding and deep green color. Popular today for use in Southwestern style jewelry, malachite was also popular in the past with the ancient Egyptians, Greeks, and Romans. It was worn as a good luck charm to keep away danger and illness. It is believed to balance and stabilize ones emotions.
