The ring is stamped .925 (sterling) and hallmarked by the artist. 

Howlite is named after its discoverer Henry How. Howlite is known for its great final polish and rich luster. Howlite is often mistaken for "white buffalo" or "white turquoise" due to the similarity of appearance.
