There is nothing at all average about this beautiful ring! This piece of Native American jewelry is Zuni hand crafted by artist Bruce Johnson, out of genuine sterling silver and man made Opal inlay. The inlay is gently set, while thin silver lines and twisted silver can be seen accenting for a lovely finish. The ring is stamped sterling and hallmarked. 

Most people know Opal for its distinctive play of color, it is a semi-transparent solidified mineral composed of silicon and water, and it gets its name from the Latin word "Oplus" meaning precious stone. Opal is the birthstone for October. It is believed to release self-consciousness allowing spontaneous action, and awakens psychic and mystical qualities.
