DESCRIPTION:

This is truly an outstanding ring that will make a great impression! This piece of Native American jewelry is Navajo hand crafted by artist Jerome Yazzie, out of genuine sterling silver and real multicolor cobble inlay. The inlay consists of: Turquoise, Lapis, Orange and Red Oyster Shell, along with man made Opal. The inlay is delicately set, while being highlighted with twisted silver, mini silver beads, and hand crafted silver work for a fascinating finish. The ring is stamped sterling and hallmarked.

Turquoise is the birthstone of December. It is believed that turquoise tends to bring good fortune, strength and helps overcome illness. Turquoise got its name from the Levantine traders called Turks who brought the stone to Europe from Persia via Turkey centuries ago. Native Americans have prized turquoise since the time of the Aztecs, who mined it in New Mexico. The natural variations that occur in turquoise are part of its appeal and beauty.

Most people know Opal for its distinctive play of color, it is a semi-transparent solidified mineral composed of silicon and water, and it gets its name from the Latin word "Oplus" meaning precious stone. Opal is the birthstone for October. It is believed to release self-consciousness allowing spontaneous action, and awakens psychic and mystical qualities.

I love everything I've gotten so far. The color of the stones are true to what you see online. I've been matching up to pieces that I've gotten else ware and they matched perfect.

    Love my purchases
Posted by Sandra J. | Reviewing SilverTribe.com | Posted on
The Magenta bracelet was super pretty and sure will be one of my favorite pieces. Really like the Opal & Turquoise bracelet but was a bit greener colored turquoise than the rest of my turquoise jewelry but do like it and will just wear with my silver rings and necklaces. Shipping was prompt an I will purchase more items in the future from this store when can afford more pieces.
