DESCRIPTION:

This amazing ring depicts the beauty and elegance of the great Southwest! The ring is a gorgeous piece of jewelry that is crafted out of genuine sterling silver, along with real Jet and man made Opal inlay. The inlay is carefully set while thin silver lines can be seen highlighting in between for a wonderful look. Cut through designs accent and complete the ring perfectly. The ring is stamped sterling and hallmarked.

Most people know Opal for its distinctive play of color, it is semi-transparent solidified mineral composed of silicon and water, and it gets its name from the Latin word "Oplus" meaning precious stone. Opal is the birthstone for October. It is believed to release self-consciousness allowing spontaneous action, and awakens psychic and mystical qualities.

Te reason for four stars; this is a gift and it would have been nice to have a description of the meaning of the symbols and a little about Mr. Phillips Also, these pieces deserve a box or a pouch, rather than a generic zip bag.
