DESCRIPTION:

This piece of Native American jewelry is Zuni hand crafted by artist Joan Cooyate, out of genuine sterling silver and man made Blue Opal stones. This ring has a total of FOUR stones that are gently placed in hand cut bezel settings forming a fabulous butterfly design, while being accented by twisted silver and mini silver beads for a magnificent finish.

Most people know Opal for its distinctive play of color, it is a semi-transparent solidified mineral composed of silicon and water, and it gets its name from the Latin word "Oplus" meaning precious stone. Opal is the birthstone for October. It is believed to release self-consciousness allowing spontaneous action, and awakens psychic and mystical qualities.
