DESCRIPTION: 

This is a wonderful piece of Southwest artistry! The necklace is hand strung out of authentic sterling silver, along with real Brown Agate, and man made Malachite and Brown Shell beads. The necklace consists of: 2-mm silver round beads, 2-mm Malachite and Brown Shell heishi beads, and a 30-mm Brown Agate leaf centerpiece. Each end of the necklace is accented with a silver clasp for a charming finish. The clasp is stamped .925 (sterling silver).

Malachite is famous for its radial banding and deep green color. Popular today for use in Southwestern style jewelry, malachite was also popular in the past with the ancient Egyptians, Greeks, and Romans. It was worn as a good luck charm to keep away danger and illness. It is believed to balance and stabilize ones emotions.
