DESCRIPTION

The beautiful features in this necklace will make you appreciate Native American art! This piece of Native American jewelry is Navajo hand strung out of genuine sterling silver, along with real Turquoise beads, real Turquoise and man made Opal inlay. The necklace consists of: 2-mm and 24-mm silver round beads, 20-mm Turquoise and Opal inlay beads, and Turquoise wheel beads that beautifully graduate, allowing the largest beads to measure 20-mm and the smallest beads at the ends to measure 7-mm. Each end of the necklace is completed with a silver cone and bead for a stunning finish. The cones are stamped sterling.

Turquoise is the birthstone of December. It is believed that turquoise tends to bring good fortune, strength and helps overcome illness. Turquoise got its name from the Levantine traders called Turks who brought the stone to Europe from Persia via Turkey centuries ago. Native Americans have prized turquoise since the time of the Aztecs, who mined it in New Mexico. The natural variations that occur in turquoise are part of their appeal and beauty.

Most people know Opal for its distinctive play of color, it is a semi-transparent solidified mineral composed of silicon and water, and it gets its name from the Latin word "Oplus" meaning precious stone. Opal is birthstone of October. It is believed to release self-consciousness allowing spontaneous action, and awakens psychic and mystical qualities.

    A Lifetime Gift item!!!
Posted by Bob C. | Reviewing SilverTribe.com | Posted on
I purchased a really nice Silver and Turqouise Pendent for my wife for Valentines Day nd she told me it was the nicest present she had ever gotten in her life! She and I go to local Pow Wows as often as health will allow and now when we see really nice Native American jewelry there or on TV, my wife knows she is "part of the club"!.. Thank you for the wonderful service and great items in your collections.
