This is a wonderful piece of Southwestern artistry! The pendant is crafted out of genuine sterling silver, and Multicolor inlay. The inlay consists of: real Tiger Eye, Picture Rock, Jet and man made Blue Opal. The inlay is gently set, while imprinted patterns, thin silver lines, and a mini silver bead can be seen creating a stunning dragonfly design for a wonderful finish. In some beliefs, the dragonflies are connected with water springtime, fertility, renewal, and considered a messenger. Pendant stamped sterling and hallmarked.
Tiger Eye stone contains a golden yellow reflection on a brown ground color. The most important source of tiger eye is South Africa, but it is also found in Australia, India, and California. It is believed to give courage, clear thinking, and protects from negativity.
Most people know Opal for its distinctive play of color, it is semi-transparent solidified mineral composed of silicon and water, and it gets its name from the Latin word "Oplus" meaning precious stone. Opal is the birthstone for October. It is believed to release self-consciousness allowing spontaneous action, and awakens psychic and mystical qualities.
