This incredible Oyster Shell and Opal combination showcases a magnificent example of how the finest Southwestern jewelry is made! This ring is a gorgeous piece of jewelry that is hand made out of genuine sterling silver, along with real Red Oyster Shell and man made Opal inlay. The inlay is carefully set, while thin silver lines accent for a spectacular look. The ring is stamped sterling and hallmarked.

Most people know Opal for its distinctive play of color, it is semi-transparent solidified mineral composed of silicon and water, and it gets its name from the Latin word "Oplus" meaning precious stone. Opal is October's birthstone. It is believed to release self-consciousness allowing spontaneous action, and awakens one's psychic and mystical qualities.

“ I make my own jewelry but found that the liquid silver (sterling) beads were not only more expensive than buying at SilverTribe but now I don't have to deal with stringing thousands of microscopic beads! And the beads are microscopic - 1mm x 2mm. For liquid silver, that matters. The smaller the bead, the more "liquid" it looks. Many other places take the easy way out and use larger beads - at the expense of quality. I LOVE my necklace - terrific quality, fast service, excellent customer relations. No problems what-so-ever. ”
