There is nothing at all average about this spectacular necklace! This piece of Native American jewelry is Navajo hand strung out of genuine sterling silver along with real Coral and real Turquoise beads and inlay beads. The necklace is made up of THREE strands that consist of: 6-mm Coral rondelle beads, 5-mm Silver round beads, Turquoise free formed beads that have an average measurement of 7-mm, along with 12-mm and 27-mm inlay beads. The necklace features THREE inlay beads that are handmade out of genuine sterling silver and real Turquoise. The center piece of the necklace is made up of the dazzling 27-mm fancy inlay bead and SIX dangles that are hand strung and match the necklace perfectly. Each end of the necklace is completed with a silver cone and bead for a gorgeous look. Cones are stamped sterling.

Turquoise is the birthstone of December. It is believed that turquoise tends to bring good fortune, strength and helps overcome illness. Turquoise got its name from the Levantine traders called Turks who brought the stone to Europe from Persia via Turkey centuries ago. Native Americans have prized turquoise since the time of the Aztecs, who mined it in New Mexico. The natural variations that occur in turquoise are part of their appeal and beauty.

Corals are known to be very soothing and very protective. Coral is of an organic origin, it is the skeletal remains of marine animals called Coral Polyps. Colonies of these tiny creatures build branching structures as they grow, gradually forming reefs and atolls.

    size

IF it were half the size it would be comfortable to wear all the time, but it is a little to big in size...very nice piece, it is just to large for everyday wear..
