DESCRIPTION:

Add this incredible jewelry set to your collection! This Native American jewelry set is Navajo hand made by artist Ella Peter, out of genuine sterling silver and real Carico Lake Turquoise stones. The necklace is composed of one Naja (the cresent-shaped large center pendant) and double strands of 8-mm silver round beads placed at regular intervals among the round side of the center. Each link is carefully hand made one by one to create this gorgeous necklace. The Naja is set with FORTY SIX stones, while each side of the necklace has EIGHTY FIVE stones. The stones are delicately set in hand cut bezel, while being accented by silver beads for a stunning look. The entire traditional necklace is flexible "not stiff". The necklace is stamped sterling and hallmarked by the artist. The earrings have a total of THIRTY FOUR stones (SEVENTEEN in each) that are carefully set in hand cut bezel, and match the side links of the necklace for a perfect finish. The set has a total of TWO HUNDRED AND FIFTY stones.

Turquoise is the birthstone of December. It is believed that turquoise tends to bring good fortune, strength and helps overcome illness. Turquoise got its name from the Levantine traders called Turks who brought the stone to Europe from Persia via Turkey centuries ago. Native Americans have prized turquoise since the time of the Aztecs, who mined it in New Mexico. The natural variations that occur in turquoise are part of their appeal and beauty.
