Sterling silver, real Turquoise, Carnelian, Rhodochrosite, Amethyst, and much more!
The inner necklace circumference measures approximately 27-1/8" long and weighs 140 grams.
This is a very exquisite necklace that must not be overlooked! This piece of Native American jewelry is Navajo hand strung out of genuine sterling silver, along with real multicolor beads. The necklace is made up of THREE strands that consist of: 8-mm Carnelian beads, 8-mm Rhodochrosite barrel and rondelle beads, 8-mm Turquoise round beads, along with Turquoise free formed beads that have an average measurement of 12-mm, and much more! The three strands in this necklace elegantly graduate, while being held together by two fancy 20-mm divider beads that are stamped with exquisite border patterns and imprinted designs, so that the necklace will lay perfectly around your neck. The divider beads are stamped sterling silver and hallmarked. Each end of the necklace is completed with a silver cone and bead for a dazzling look. The cones are stamped sterling.
Turquoise is the birthstone of December. It is believed that turquoise tends to bring good fortune, strength and helps overcome illness. Turquoise got its name from the Levantine traders called Turks who brought the stone to Europe from Persia via Turkey centuries ago. Native Americans have prized turquoise since the time of the Aztecs, who mined it in New Mexico. The natural variations that occur in turquoise are part of its appeal and beauty.
Carnelian is the birthstone of August. It increases energy, and adds endurance along with encouragement. It is also believed to still the blood and calm the temper. Carnelian is a flesh-red to brown-red, translucent to opaque type of chalcedony. Its red comes from iron within the stone.
