A total of THIRTEEN stones are gently set in a hand cut bezel setting, while being accented by twisted silver and mini silver beads for an amazing look. The necklace is hand strung out of genuine sterling silver, along with real Turquoise and Amber beads. The necklace consists of: 2-mm silver round beads, 7-mm Turquoise rondelle beads, Amber free formed beads that have an average measurement of 8-mm, along with Turquoise beads that range from 5-mm to 8-mm. Each end of the necklace is completed with a silver cone and bead for an exquisite finish. The cones are stamped sterling.
Turquoise is the birthstone of December. It is believed that turquoise tends to bring good fortune, strength and helps overcome illness. Turquoise got its name from the Levantine traders called Turks who brought the stone to Europe from Persia via Turkey centuries ago. Native Americans have prized turquoise since the time of the Aztecs, who mined it in New Mexico. The natural variations that occur in turquoise are part of its appeal and beauty.
Amber is known to be very protective, it also calm nervousness, relieves depression, spiritualizes the mind, and draws diseases and negativity out of the body. Even though amber is sometimes called a stone, it is not, it is actually fossil resin.
