This pendant is a part of our exclusive WhiteRock collection, which is a beautiful selection of excellently designed jewelry. The jewelry is handmade out of genuine sterling silver and multicolor inlay using some of the best silversmiths and inlayers in the world. The stones used in every piece create some of the most incredible color combinations. Each is hand selected and is of the highest and best quality anywhere. The inlay in this pendant is individually made and inlayed using stones which are hand cut and carefully set into place creating this absolutely incredible piece. This stone inlay combination consists of: real Turquoise, Magenta Turquoise, Picture Rock, Tiger Eye, Red and Orange Oyster Shell, White and Black Inlay, along with man made Opal. The workmanship and detail are spectacular! The inlay is carefully set, while forming a lovely reversible bear pendant. One side of the pendant consists of Turquoise, Magenta Turquoise, Red and Orange Oyster Shell, along with White and Black inlay, while the other side consists of Tiger Eye, Picture Rock, Black Inlay, and Opal. Its like having to pendants in one! In Native American beliefs the bear symbolizes physical strength, leadership and is known as the "first helper". The pendant is stamped sterling and hallmarked.
Turquoise is the birthstone of December. It is believed that turquoise tends to bring good fortune, strength and helps overcome illness. Turquoise got its name from the Levantine traders called Turks who brought the stone to Europe from Persia via Turkey centuries ago. Native Americans have prized turquoise since the time of the Aztecs, who mined it in New Mexico. The natural variations that occur in turquoise are part of their appeal and beauty.
Most people know Opal for its distinctive play of color, it is semi-transparent solidified mineral composed of silicon and water, and it gets its name from the Latin word "Oplus" meaning precious stone. Opal is October's birthstone. It is believed to release self-consciousness allowing spontaneous action, and awakens one's psychic and mystical qualities.
