There is nothing at all average about this beautiful pendant! This piece of Native American jewelry is Navajo hand crafted by artist Dorthy Yazzie, out of genuine sterling silver and multicolor stones. The pendant consists of: real Turquoise, Red Oyster Shell, Pink Shell, and man made Garnet. A total of FOUR stones are carefully set in hand cut bezel settings, while silver beads and hand cut silver work can be seen accenting the pendant for a wonderful look.
Turquoise is the birthstone of December. It is believed that turquoise tends to bring good fortune, strength and helps overcome illness. Turquoise got its name from the Levantine traders called Turks who brought the stone to Europe from Persia via Turkey centuries ago. Native Americans have prized turquoise since the time of the Aztecs, who mined it in New Mexico. The natural variations that occur in turquoise are part of their appeal and beauty.
Garnet is the birthstone of January. Garnet helps you to be patient, heals damaged relationships, and creates energy.
