Sterling silver, man made Howlite, Coral and Purple Oyster Shell.
Hook dangle earrings measure approximately 1-7/8" long (including hook) and 3/8" at widest point.
This is a very gorgeous pair of earrings that would make a great gift! This piece of Native American jewelry is Navajo hand crafted by artist Theresa Joe, out of genuine sterling silver and man made multicolor inlay. The inlay consists of: Howlite, Coral and Purple Oyster Shell. The inlay is delicately set, while imprinted patterns can be seen accenting for a stunning finish. The earrings are stamped sterling and hallmarked.
Howlite is named after its discoverer Henry How. Howlite is known for its great final polish and rich luster. Howlite is often mistaken for "white buffalo" or "white turquoise" due to the similarity of appearance. Howlite is a combination of pure white with black veins; highlighting the beauty and balance of opposites. Howlite has high calcium content for strong healthy bones and teeth. It would make a wonderful gift for a pregnant or nursing mother.
Corals are known to be very soothing and very protective. Coral is of an organic origin; it is the skeletal remains of marine animals called Coral Polyps. Colonies of these tiny creatures build branching structures as they grow, gradually forming reefs and atolls.
